zeigarnik effect

The Zeigarnik Effect is where open or uncompleted tasks occupy your mind until they are done.

This is why your brain gets distracted when you’re thinking about all of the unfinished tasks you have to do.

To overcome this effect, you need to write things down in a trusted system.

A task doesn’t have to be completed, it just needs to be written down.

Your mind is for having ideas not for holding them.

You can use this effect to your advantage by performing Productive Meditation which will allow your brain to make new connections you didn’t see before.
